You have to get out fast. What one Spyderco knife?

Never really thought about it, but we got a mandatory evacuation message at about 10:30 last night and had to decide what to take quickly.

Long story short, grabbed a multitool and a trustworthy Spydie:



(Dog had to choose her carry quickly too and went with a well chewed favorite.)

What Spyderco would you take out the door in a rush?

But at the current moment if I had to run out the door with just one the Police 4 would get dropped in the pocket. Awesome steel, easy to carry, and one heck of a backlock. It's basically the backlock Military I've always wanted.

Aqua Salt for sure. There was another thread about an apocalypse single knife scenario.

In all honesty, if I had to go with a single knife in a life or death situation, I'd go with an Esee. I haven't destroyed one yet, and I've tried.

But I love my Aqua Salt!

I used to have multiple answers to this question, and would still find time to take more than one Spyderco, but in the spirit of the question, if it was absolutely one and only one, the Jumpmaster 2.

If I'm being evacuated to a detention center: Yojimbo 2 (it's basically the ultimate prison shank).
Anything else: Starmate CPM440 (the original not the later cheap knockoff). The most complete folder Spyderco ever made.
