True. Large Persian was mentioned few times. Supposed to have bolsters as well.

I was kind of surprised to see a Shabaria sprint in the latest catalog. I would think there'd be way more demand for a large bolstered Persian, small bolstered Persian, or Kris sprints.

I wouldn't mind seeing a large bolstered Persian sprint with polished gray G-10, polished dark green G-10, or carbon fiber and a higher end blade steel (solid Super Blue, SRS-15 with Damascus cladding, or solid HAP-40). Now that I think about it, brass bolsters would look nice as well...

I think the white would look nice(micarta or polished g10), and bolsters of course.

That pic is amazing. I like the suggestion of this in damasteel. Very attractive blades, stainless, and a good match for the model. Keep the original grind, bolsters are good, but I like the Ti suggestion, or even polished CF looks really good. Black CF bolsters with that dark red G10 scale :)

I’m not a fan of white, I use all my knives and would prefer something that will hide dirt a little better. White makes it seem too “pretty” lol. To each his own:)

Not a fan of white either, but then I prefer the small Persian and traded off my large ones a couple of years ago since they weren't getting any use (beautiful as they were)

Am I the only one who thinks bolsters on modern folding knives are stupid? Do they serve any purpose at all apart from looking bad and making the pivot harder to adjust?

Someone's custom job I picked up in another forum. Linerless and super light, makes a great large blade EDC.

I've got a White paper micarta C83 and C105 original bolstered Persian custom made. They are great.
I would love to see Spyderco make a wooden scale bolstered Persian, or a marbled CF version.
Or a Spyder damascus bolster like the one on the 25th Anniversary Delica, and maybe stick with VG10 sabre ground blade, with jigged bone handles.

I'd post a pic up here but since Photobucket killed all my pics I have no idea how else to post pics up.
I've been hanging around Facebook a lot these days and sharing info and pics on there.

Uggh. Photo*uckit. I could've sworn they said that even though I couldn't link 3rd party sites anymore that I'd still have access to my own photos. Well, I can see the thumbnails, but can't see my own full res photos.

I've switched over to Flickr, which seems to work just fine. Hopefully they don't pull a Photo*uckit in the future.

Original C83 Persian in my honest opinion is one of the most beautiful production knives I ever saw. Thanks to Ed the knife has great ergos as well. I was enjoying its use for more than ten years.
White scales probably will not be practical, but certainly will look great and make the knife great show piece. Nice hardwood will make it a great user and showpiece as well.
SS bolsters, original grind for me. Dropping Boye dent will be great.
