THWACK...tish...Tunk...

Oh sorry. Don't mind me. I'm just slowly opening and closing a M2LW while I enjoy an IPA and watch television.

THWACK...tish...Tunk...

THWACK...tish...Tunk...

Open...pull the CBBL...close...

THWACK...tish...Tunk...

THWACK...tish...Tunk...

The Sounds of Spyderco. :)

Those sounds can often be heard at my house too. Unfortunately, they're often accompanied by the sound of my GF telling me to STOP "CLICKING" THOSE KNIVES!!!

I'm not normally this type of guy, but...

I can't stop clacking the bank vault of the Slysz Bowie since it arrived.

My wife has been less than amused.

She does, however, love her new Ladybug.

The Military has the most satisfying opening sound, especially the CF versions.

I do not flick for enjoyment but I do appreciate the sound of solid lock engagement and for me personally without a doubt the regular titanium Military has the most satisfyingly positive THWACK of any knife I own. :) Not only can you hear but you can also feel it.

Have you noticed a change in sound/feel from older to newer versions? I know I have.

I love the sound of the Manix 2 Back Lock. That thing locks in with a solid, deep, ringing, clunk. It sounds like a bank vault door locking in place.

I will have to investigate further. My older models with the blocky jimping have a more solid "THWACK" than the newer versions like the Cruwear and 52100.

Ah, the secret lies on the backspacer, or the lack of it. On the newer models your hand position makes all the difference. If you cup the spine of the handle it gets louder ;)
