Wow! Great minds think alike, this guy has been in my mind for a while. Would love to see the Renegade back in the line up, made in Golden of course. Appears that larger knives are making a come back and that makes me happy.

You two would be surprised how similar the Spydiechef and the RockLobster are in hand. Perhaps even better ergos with the former.

I knew that there were other Brethren besides me that had fallen in love with the TEMPERANCE 1 model  That blade design with a supersteel would just be outright awesome IMO.

But don't overlook the value of the TEMP 1 in PE & SE both>> it is an awesome fixed blade>> Spyderco truly got it right the first time
Yay! I’m not alone anymore. I have always loved the Temp 1
The TEMPERANCE 1 model was one of the very few outdoor type fixed blades that they made available in Spyderedge and plain edge both. And it's a super fixed blade in both edge types. I only have two of each ( PE & SE) and I wouldn't trade any of them for anything at this point because I just use them a lot.

The TEMP 1 in either one of the Supersteels or in one of the nitrogen based steels like LC200N would be a dream come true but only if they would offer them in PE & SE both. Oh I could go for a newer more updated sheath but other than that and a new blade steel I wouldn't change a thing. Truly they got that one right the first time.

The RENEGADE in both SE & PE would be a great Sprint Run selection. The RENEGADE is one model that was way ahead of it's time. In a newer/better blade steel and updated handle material it would even be great to put back into the main line up>> but I would settle for a Sprint Run.

I already have the chef, great for my edc uses but i find it a bit short at times. The length of the rocklobster is just about perfect for me

I see your point and I agree with you. I liked the length of mine, but the handle ergos never worked for me. Wish I had held onto mine and done some mods like EvilD did with his.

I'm revisiting my earlier recomendation of the Calypso Jr. (although that would still be sweet), as I had forgotten about the C67 R. Bring it back in contoured G10 or CF!
