Who would be in for a Cruwear/Carbon Fiber Millie?

#1

Post by Surfingringo »

I need more Cruwear in my life. That steel remains my favorite for everyday and hard use. Easy to sharpen, takes an insanely sharp and aggressive edge and has excellent toughness good wear resistance and better corrosion resistance than other steels offering the same properties. For me, it is a steel that suits the millie platform well and I would love to see a cruwear Millie offered with the new CQI changes.

As far as handle material, I would buy whatever material/color they chose to use for a cruwear Millie but if I had my preference I would choose CF. I don't really care about the aesthetics, I just like that CF shaves another half ounce off of what is already a very lightweight large folder. I'm not a big fan of s90v and CF seems to get paired with s90v a lot on sprints so my collection is lacking in CF Spyderco folders. A Cruwear/CF Millie would help solve that issue. Anyone else?

I would buy one, though I already have spare CF scales that I could put on my Cruwear.

Not a huge fan of CF but my Cruwear Military is my favorite knife and I would welcome any new Cruwear Military with an open wallet. Sign me up!

I need a Cru-Wear version so yeah, count me in. But honestly would prefer G10 probably. Don't care, wrap it up, I'm taking one home

This would be great. I wasn't into the Military when the original Cruwear dropped, and love the feel of the Golden peel ply CF. I just tapped a CF Military for tip up carry and it is now seeing a lot of carry, in pocket right now. I'd take K390 as well :)

I don't think they'll make another millie in cruwear, I mean people are still clamouring for a super blue caly and they haven't done it. As far as I'm aware Spyderco have never re-sprinted a sprint. Your best bet is probably to find one on the secondary market or to lobby a distributor/dealer to commission an exclusive.

They just redid the Manix 2 in Cruwear...
And they also just did another M390 Paramilitary 2
(not a Sprint, but still a rehash variation).

I'd fully support this suggestion by saying it would be a great combo for an excellent knife, but being that I already have half of each, I'm all set here and won't need a CF Millie with Cruwear.

...now many if it was some sort of Micarta with the old dino jimping then I'll buy multiple! :D
Going back to Caly.

Have no interest in another Cruwear Millie. The CQI updates aren't that big of a deal to me. My non CQI Cruwear Millie cuts just as well as a CQI having Cruwear Millie would lol.

Millie sprints don't seem to come along very often so If were asking for a new Millie sprint I would be VeRy interested in a K390 Millie with the same red handles the DLT Para 2 has.

So a Red G10/K390 sprint Millie. Sign me up.

I'm now ready for a Millie and this combination will work for me. Peel-ply, please.

I would purchase two Military with CQI in Cruwear however, not with the combo Ti, makes it too expensive for a user.
