PM2 Red G-10 M390 at DLT Trading?!?!

You know, I've been watching this go down, I gotta say, it's been a while since a :spyder: drop murdered a website so hard like this... I remember when I grabbed mine from the first run, it took like a week to sell out. Crazy. :eek:

I could be wrong but I'm not sure you're remembering correctly. I thought the first run went pretty fast too. Maybe not this fast. I remember being a happy I secured one before they sold out.

Oh it was definately a while. They had a pre-order go live on the 7th of November, for shipping the 20th of November. Posts earlier in this thread indicate it sold out on the 13th, as the sighs of relief from broke spyder-holics start right around there.

Yeah you're right. I completely forgot about the whole pre-order thing. I had to go back and read my own comments in this thread. Now I remember haha. Sorry for questioning. My memory is usually pretty good. I guess these sprint sales all kind of blend together after awhile lol

That's great, M390 really is a "super" steel; good sharpening response, good corrosion resistance, and good edge retention. I find the M390 blades also have a very fine finish, which is big in my book. Enjoy!

Whether you wanted one or not, this knife is worth the money. I had fun trying to secure one. Sure there was some frustration in the beginning but I thought DLT did really well to get the site fixed and then sell out in a half hour. And this thread was very informative. It's good to know the experiences other people were having. Thanks Spyderco, Thanks DLT and thanks to all of you for helping to make my day great!

May I ask you a question about yours? I am presuming that yours is a piece from this current (second) run, and that if you already have it you must've bought it from the Bladeshow event. Please correct me if I'm wrong. My question is: what does the blade finish look like? Is it a very fine, even, matte finish, with minimal grind lines? I ask for two reasons; 1) my BBS M390 PM2 has that very even matte finish, and 2) I like that. Thanks in advance!

It's from the first run. Blade finish is typical Spyderco satin finish. There are very fine grind lines visible.

Wow. This whole thing is a big ouch. I was waiting patiently for over a year for this re-release. I sold my Yojimbo sprint to fund the purchase. Stayed up until 6 am to buy one. Waited an hour and 15 minutes for server to come up but I literally could not stay awake; 11 more minutes would have got me there. And now they are gone
