Hello guys, I was wondering if the darn dao will be released for Santa to deliver. Several sites have teased me with pre order and coming soon for a few months. I have searched the forums and did not see it mentioned recently so I’d thought I’d bug spyderco here :)

Very suprised to hear this. I'm guessing they weren't just show off models and that they had a few in stock.

Didn't ask if there were more than the display, but it *was* for sale. They had a few each of the FRN Squareheads... They had had a big event a week or so ago that had all their reps in, and apparently the Spyderco rep brought them in (I was looking for the FRN Chapperall!)

Darn Dao is not for me, but it looked like a beast of a knife, thick stock, with a leather sheath. (I did not ask to handle it)
