Guess my new knife from spydie bite location!

#1

Post by nurunuru »

Got my latest Spyderco today. It's great. And, while checking it out this evening, I got three separate accidental spydie bites on the back of my middle finger on my dominant hand. If you have this knife, I'm betting the same thing happened to you, too! (Well... maybe not three times. I'm probably fairly gifted in that respect.)

Even if you don't own the model in question, you could probably figure it out if you scratched your head while thinking of the various Spyderco shapes and factored in some classical physics.

Hint: It is not a fixed blade.

Answers on a postcard!

Although the backlock has nothing to do with it. But it does narrow down the field a bit.

Nope and nope. Thanks for playing, though!

It's the knife's rather unique design that lends itself to cutting the back of your middle finger if you're a little careless.

Nope.

Guess I'll have to give a big hint... All of the spydie bites occurred because I was holding the knife in Earth grip.

Gonna guess the introvert - just because it seems like it would leave the middle finger more exposed

Definitely the Introvert because mine bit me in the same place a few days ago.

Introvert is correct! Congratulations!

If you release in Earth grip without swiftly rotating your hand out of the path of the swinging blade, there will be blood.
