Here's my Sliverax choil modification. Every time I open this knife my index naturally gravitated past the scales; it was time to figure out a proper choil. Bonus for easy sharpening!

I originally had a thinner web of material between the Spydie hole and choil, but my wife pointed out that it looked a bit week so I dialed it back. Also interesting is that the choil location is about the same distance from the pivot as the action for the compression lock, which means you could open up the finger window to provide more surface area/access without interfering with the blade geometry.

This modification was done using an EDM machine to preserve the heat treat.

Next modification will be a compression frame lock ;)

Also, I am terrible at using a camera!

Oh my goodness. This. This right here. I would buy this in a heartbeat. That is a gorgeous mod (unsurprisingly, I love me a good combo finger/sharpening choil on a flipper :D ).

On my radar: 110V Military, Police 4 and some sweet Rex 45 Military action.

Newest Spydies: S90v Ti Military, Pacific Salt and a special Kiwi.

I followed Ixstala’s lead and did the same mod on my Sliverax. Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but I didn’t want to make a new thread for it. The mod took me about 2 minutes so it was easy enough. I love the added functionality from the finger choil. It’s 2 and 3/8’s now. Thanks for looking.
