I am 100% OK with Spyderco making another Rassenti to go with my Nirvana... if I can convince the wife again. :D

Guys, the Domino/Dice/Southard and other older Spyderco flippers were all on borrowed time.

Eric told me at Blade that they were re-engineering the flippers; the Advocate was already being re-done, and I suspect they've changed the Mantra too. So these older models don't have the new engineering, and are getting a bit long in the tooth, and with that and perhaps dwindling sales they decided to discontinue them. The Southard is 5 years old, the Domino 4, and the Dice 3; that seems like a pretty good run for those.

So far the Vrango at KC is the only one that I had to have.
If I had never owned a Nirvana I'd probably have gone for that too but it was disappointing. It's ground way too thick.

Shame about the Pingo. As I've said before and elsewhere, it's a really easy knife to overlook and dismiss (looks kind of strange), but it's excellent. Came ultra sharp.

Gonna pick up a Domino or two if I can, and maybe a Native.

No real surprises on the list year for me. Kind of sad to see the micarta Street Beat on the list. I passed on one this year to get one of the remaining new old stock Lum fixed tantos. Maybe I’ll luck into a deal, though I think they will sell out before I’m ready to bite. This year has been far too expensive already and it was to be an “off” year. :eek: :confused:
