Would love to see this return as a sprint but with textured peel ply G10 and DLC coated Cruwear, Rex45, or 3V. This knife definitely needs another good tool steel. 52100 would be acceptable, as well as 4V, but those are my top 3 for this blade.

Might be too soon since this was discontinued but eventually I think there would be strong demand for a GB1 sprint. Peel ply g-10 or cf and dlc coated cruwear.

I think I'd still have to pass. It's a really well built knife but it needs more of a lip at the index finger, it's a bit too slippery there for my tastes.

Maybe they could CQI some jimping? Im a big jimping fan. Cant get enough. Tha Manix jimping is great. And a textured peel ply G10 scale would help with grip.

It would help but I would just prefer a stronger guard or lip at the end of the handle.

I wouldn’t change the GB1 in any way.

However, I didn’t vote no. Such a vote makes no sense. Why should I contradict what folks here want?

But, I must say that asking for sprints that require retooling fails to appreciate Spyderco’s costs of production and reading of the market. Our asking for CQI is hardly the same as Spyderco’s volunteered CQI.

I think this whole matter reduces to who has skin in the game.

Would a GB3 make me look twice. Of course.

Absolutely agree! I've got a wonderful scar on my index finger because of this. Full disclosure though; I was only being about 90% as careful as I should have been at the time :o

I love the GB1 and not sure what I would change other than the overall width, which isn't Sprint territory ..I'd be more interested in a GB3.

If the poll was still open, I'd vote yes for a stainless bladed version.
