Picked up a Hundred Pacer today. Great ergos and unbelievable blade deployment speed. Fit and finish is superb as always from Taichung.

Seeing as how I started this thread, I feel obliged to check in now that I've spent over a year with the Hundred Pacer. Dan at BladeReviews was kind enough to publish my pictures and full review, which you can read here if you'd like: https://bladereviews.com/spyderco-hundred-pacer-review/

I love my Hundred Pacer! Unfortunately, it seems someone was overzealous with the white loc-tite, and I had to send it to Golden to reverse the clip for left hand carry. I am eagerly awaiting its return.

Very nice review! You did a great job of describing the unique and wonderful qualities of this knife.
I don't get people who only carry one knife :thinking ;)

Envy… Yes, stone envy. Of all of the knives I have absolutely no use for, the Hundred Pacer is the one I lust for the most.

Congratulations to all you Pacers out there!

I finally had to sharpen it after heavy use in the Kitchen. Sharpening this blade was stupid easy. Hard to believe just how long this retained the factory edge. CTS-XHP is without a doubt one of my favorite steels, right up there with VG-10, M4 and LC200N.

As for this knife itself? great ergos But I miss a finger choil on the bottom and always find myself almost putting my finger there which is a very bad idea, Perfect Steel, perfect length and incredible efficient shape.

Only 3 Detraction's.

1. I would have preferred a lock back.
2. The detente is not strong in the closed position so carrying in the pocket Makes me a bit wary with a blade this size and shape, back lock would also have solved that.
3. Bottom Finger choil would be nice I am spoiled by the Spydies that have it.

I find a finger choil is not necessary with the hundred pacer because the design allows me to grip the handle with my index finger positioned right at the heel of the blade. I wouldn't mind a sharpening choil though ;) (or having the plunge grind set further back so the edge begins right at the corner at the heel of the blade, which to my understanding was the original intent for the design)
