Caly Jr. Sprint

Based on Sal's comments on the USPK thread, I decided to break out the sprint discussion into a new thread.

I voted Superblue and HAP, but the idea of a damascus model makes my heart skip a beat.

I voted HAP40 and other. Other being SRS15 or some other new steel. I am always interested in new steels. HAP72? XVC11?

We had a recent thread about an SRS15 sprint.

Superblue or White. I missed the Superblue runs and they rarely come up for sale anymore, and when they do it's for a ungodly price.

For economy, i would assume the Superblue and HAP would be laminated.

Voted blue or white, but in for a couple in literally any steel Spyderco chooses, hopefully in any color but brown :p
(Even then I'd still buy at least one.)

I've never held a clay jr. But based on pics I think I will like it better than the clay 3/3.5. For steel, I would vote for the SRS15 that we recently had a discussion about.

I like that old fishscale pattern (big surprise ) but I seem to recall Sal saying they didn't go back and use old frn patterns. My memory could be wrong though and even if it's not, that may not apply to a sprint run.

I like VG 10. It's still a super steel. Just ask my Delica wharnie that works it's butt off.

I missed this one long ago, and would love one. I would, however, like to see the Caly 3 become an FRN model. I love lightweights, and think it would be awesome with bidirectional texturing.
- best wishes, Jazz.

I'm sure Sal will chime in with the ruling on this.
