Do Five Constitute a Collection?

These are all users, the oldest being the chipped, used and abused SE Native III. It's still my favorite carry of the bunch.

One of those cool pictures could be a calendar submission. I think five is a collection for sure. I have six, so yeah. There will be more, of course.

I was just giving you a hard time Montana. I'm an enabler and I was only indicating that your 6th spydie should bring more color to your collection.

Five users of five Spydies are the best collection you can have ;)

Thank you so much for the kind words.

And yes, there's probably one more to come.....I'm not sure which one yet. Not spending a ton on one, as I tend to subject any knife to hard use. Leaning toward a SE Tenacious.......

No worries!!
As I mentioned earlier, thinking an SE Tenacious should round out the herd rather nicely.
;)

Are you trying to deny that you have a collection? Nice knives but I don't see five categories. See, now you have room to grow without having a collection. Yet. :)

Great choices, and I have to agree that the Native III is still the best Native...

Five knives is plenty to cover anybody's practical needs in my opinion. I'm actually trying to pare down my collection as well and curate a good small set of users. There are just too many models to try to own them all, so if I don't use, carry, or at least fiddle with a knife on a fairly regular basis, it has to go to a new home.

Yep, agree 100%.....
...wouldn't feel too terrible if one was misplaced, or damaged beyond repair. I live in a relatively unrestricted area as far as knife laws go, and I've found that a 3" blade is a really nice size. The Endura is just a bit too large (I should probably let it go).

Recently obtained the Cat to carry in the office and around NKP. I've carried keychain knives before, but find they are just too small....also have lost 2 or 3 keychain knives / multitools passing thru zero tolerance security checks so I don't carry anything but keys on the ring now. The Cat is about as small as I'd like to carry.

Exactly the same reason here for keeping my keychain knife-free. Too easy to forget that I'm carrying it through security, but if I am missing my pocket clip, I feel naked so it's easy to remember. :)

I love both the Cat and Urban and I agree, that is about the minimum size I like to carry, as well as honestly all the knife I need for 99% of my usage. Even as much as I want to love the Dragonfly, the grip feels just a teeeeny bit too small for me.

Anything beyond what you can handle all at once is a collection. One in each hand, one between your teeth, couple on your feet (if you have some monkey toes). Looks like you are right there...
