Well, it certainly doesn't slice onions all nice and thin like my Phil Wilson, but its pretty mean on bell and jalapeno peppers. Think I'm going to love this newest addition.

4 lbs. of jerky sliced about 1/8" thin. I love the way this knife performs.

I sent a rather cantankerous rooster to the freezer with my Sprig a couple of weeks ago. At first I was a little remorseful because he was good looking and was never aggressive towards me but the other chickens have been throwing a big party ever since. He wasn't very popular. He was really, really aggressive towards most of them.

RIP Statham.

Handsome Rob? :D They are nice to have strutting around the yard, but there is nothing pretty about the way they treat the ladies. I grew up with roosters that would attack the lawnmower.

Yeah, if you get a good one you make sure to keep it. I have a couple more that are pretty mild mannered. One is named Van Damme :D and he is a total gentleman towards the ladies and has never been aggressive. He is a keeper.

The crazy thing was that Statham was very docile with me and would let me hold him and would let me feed him from my hand but he caused some blood baths in the chicken run so he had to go. He was "transported" to the freezer. :o

It makes me remember twist of the term: Rest In Pieces, quite literally applicable here.
Sorry Darby, hope it doesn’t hurt that much.

No, he had a good run as king of the coop. It comes with the territory. The rest really are much happier now. They are not pets but my chickens are actually spoiled.

My wife says that my chicken and dumplings is heavenly so I guess you could say he went to a good place.

No, they can be aggressive though. He was an Easter Egger. My experience is that they can be a aggresive as well.

I have a Welsummer rooster who is a total gentleman. He is very cool looking too. The Kellogg's Cornflakes rooster is a Welsummer. He has a cool gargle at the end of his crow.
