Thanks to Mark's Outdoors for the pics, as well as the Caly 3 itself.

Caly 3 HAP40 Green G-10 Sprint:
Wow. This thing is just fantastic, just like it was at Blade Show. It's beautifully-made, the color of the G-10 is great, and the blade is great. I've said this before, but I've wanted a Caly 3 for a while, held off on one and then it was discontinued, and now I've snapped this one up. Usually, for these posts, I'm reporting on new models that I'm not actually purchasing, but this one is different. I'm super excited to have it, and I think others will too. QC/F&F seem very good, better than the Jess Horn I think, and I'm more than happy with it.

Para 3 CRUWEAR Grey G-10 Sprint:
First, it's a Para 3, so I'm not going over the ergos and such. Also, yes, the G-10 is definitely lighter than the G-10 on the Para Military 2 CW Sprint (which I own, so I know :p ). I'm not sure if you're looking for a matching set it'll be exactly that in terms of color, but it's still a good-looking handle. Of course, it's CRUWEAR, which is great, so I'd say this is instantly the best Para 3 you can get. Arguably, with this steel, this is one of the very best 3-inch Spyderco knives you can get, period.

2 anticipated sprints in the wild today!

I was really hoping for the darker grey like the PM2 cruwear, the Para3 looks almost off white. Is that light in person?

Nice knives, thanks for posting the pics.

Just realized that CRU-WEAR was again spelled CRUWEAR on this one, despite the following: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=74077&p=1145915&hil ... r#p1145915

They had the standard 2 come in (one of which I purchased), but they'd already ordered 6 more, so you'll definitely get one. I called dibs on one of the first ones a long time ago. :p

I don't have a scale or I'd answer that for you guys. :(

I just got mine yesterday, and it doesn't feel any heavier than my Caly 3 with carbon fiber handle, which I believe is just around 3 ounces. If I have a chance, I'll weigh the new one at the Post Office and post the result.

Thanks Todd. When I first saw the 4 ounce spec on the Caly 3, I couldn't understand how the G10 scales could possibly add an ounce to the weight of the knife. Obviously they didn't. So now my question is, where did the 4 ounce figure come from? Every website that offered the Caly 3 for sale had it listed at 4 ounces. Did Spyderco release the wrong spec by mistake?

I was wondering, seeing that the Caly3 is a sprint run. Are any of you, using your Caly as an edc, or is it a safe queen only ?
