Spyderco, It is time for the Burgundy FRN bonanza!

Awesome burnt orange? check
My old standby BRG? check
Shades of gray? check
Powder/police blue? Retired

No, not sheeple "scary" bright red....

A maroon/burgundy (that is as far from brown as possible) of year's passed would be really nice imo on the FRN Chaparral, the Ladybug-Endura lineage, and other retired sprints.

Police blue like in the old ZDP189 FRN's were the bees knees as well!

I'm gonna have to pass, never cared for that color. I would have bought my first Spyderco forum knife if the (S90V) native they were selling was any other color. If I recall, they didn't sell too well either. I suspect the color had something to do with it.

More red like on the never summer native would be welcome though!

I've never cared much about what color a knife is but burgundy is one of the few colors that would actually put me off buying a knife.

Burgundy??

Must be me then because I think the color looks great on previous Spydercos.

According to Sal, regular Red shades are the last of the main colors to be used mainly because of the negative connotation so they serve as the training knife color. I think there's a market for people who like the color though.

Want more Brown? eck... Already have different shades of most colors already also.

How about burnt yellow for your fishing Salts

I quite like burgundy if it tends towards maroon! :)

I like the color and like the looks of the past ones. I think it would work well in the frn chap.

Burgundy, maroon... not very nice colors to me. I'm carrying my burgundy Meercat today, and I really dislike the color.

I like the red g-10 used on the Persian. I like the Native 5 Never Summer red too. I also like burgundy as long as it's not veering into maroon. More reddish, less brown for me, thanks.

I'm surprised that burgundy is such polarizing color...
I like it, but not enough to expect Spyderco to risk it... :-/

I would like it. Good idea. Make it in Endura handles.

I do not like maroon at all. If the burgundy is not maroon, but actually a dark wine like it is supposed to be, then I like it if it is Micarta.

I didnt mention it because Spyderco tends to shy away from the material but burgundy dark red micarta is very nice.

Whoa quite polarizing indeed. Like a love or hate as compared to love or neutral like most other colors.

I really would love a FRN Chap in a color like the burgundy Caly Jr.

That never summer red a few of you mention is very much in the realm of what I want... A dark red handled Spydie line.

I know the description of that native is "bright red" but it clearly isnt. At least in the pics I just reviewed. My wife's Mini Cooper is bright red lol.
