But what if one of us is Spongebob?
I don't think Spongebob handles knives. Otherwise it would be r-rated.
Are you sure about that? https://youtu.be/1ATSTF6QvCM

Just stop. Corrosion resistance is only one of the things that make this great. Please use search function and see the reason this is such a bomb drop

Well next on my list is to ask for a wharnie Dragonfly. Give me 5 or so years and check back with me ;)

Your..."newness"...is showing. It will not have a black edge; that's just the lighting. And BTW, welcome to Spyderco!

I know that it won't. Just wanted to say that I might be willing to buy one if it had that contrast of the yellow/black.

And thanks.

I'm excited, it looks great. As much as I love the Ladybug hawkbill, I'm afraid this will be a mandatory purchase.

Just a quick Google search pulled up all these..the oldest I could find dates back to 2010 but I'm sure there was talk of it long before then and it has been mentioned in more threads than I care to search through.

You should be rooting for this ones success Jazz, if it sells well, it will me much easier to convince them a Wharncliffe DFly is a good idea too ;)
I'm as happy about this knife being made as you were when they announced the Wharncliffe Delica I'll bet :D

I finally have a worthy replacement for my old EDC Hawkbill that served me faithfully for many years. The right size, the right shape, RUST PROOF!, and Spyderco Quality. Other than days when they announce a Yojimbo 2 sprint ;) I don't really get much happier than this.

Like I said, I'm quite happy for y'all that wanted this... and I wouldn't turn down a Manbug wharnie, by the way. ;)

If the Manbug had come (or does come) in FFG/PE I would already own one, but for the size the blade is it's just too dang thick for my liking. The Dragonfly's blade is much taller and the hollow grind (while not being my favorite) is higher than most SE/hollow grinds so it slices pretty decent and doesn't bind up in rigid material like most hollow grinds do. I would prefer all my serrated blades to be FFG just like my PE blades but a high hollow grind on a thin(ish) blade is a decent compromise.
