I have read that it compares to M4 most closely. I haven't used the knives I own yet though. I think Im gonna make the Delica pakkawood I just ordered straight into a user.

It's chemistry is similar to CPM M4 with a generous allotment (+8%) of cobalt, a tad more tungsten, and a bit less vanadium. The cobalt is not a carbide former and helps when utilized as a high speed steel, but for knife applications, the cobalt makes no apparent difference. According to a couple of tests I've seen, it should be very similar to but seems to be a bit less wear resistant than the CPM M4 Spyderco puts out.

My two Delicas are perfect. No issues whatsoever.

Just in case anyone was apprehensive.

Mine arrived today... wow! Homerun for Spyderco and KnifeCenter. This is truly one of the best knives Spyderco has ever produced... solid construction, beautiful handle material, and a perfect Hap40 blade with that is thinly ground (thinner than the VG-10 version). Love it!

Mine came in a day ahead of schedule. Beautiful piece. If the Endura is still available by the end of summer, I will pick up one of those as well.

I just got the Delica yesterday. Very classy piece!
My specimen is top notch as well. It sure is hefty, so I'll still probably carry my FRN more, but the heft feels really nice in hand.
Now considering purchasing the Endura also, even though I don't carry one nearly as often as a Delica.
Going back to Caly.

I'm a Delica guy. After receiving my Delica Pakkawood, I ordered an Endura. :)

Thinking about pulling the trigger on the Delica after seeing all the positive first impressions and pics. Thoughts on using the Pakkawood for EDC ? Or most of you are stashing them away in your collection ?

Mine went in my pocket a few minutes after arriving. I'm considering another one (or two) to put away.

It's been in my pocket since I got it on Wednesday. No fears about using it, only about getting too many oo's and ah's when I take it out!

Well, I just ordered another to have one untouched plus the Delica and a Delica for each of my two grandsons that get knives.

Mine finally arrived today, tracking was totally off. I'm impressed, great fit and finish and it's actually lighter than I was expecting. This will get a lot of pocket time I think.
