I think this thread could be better IF the photos made mention of the Spyderco MODEL names so that some of us unfamiliar with the vast number offered over the years wouldn't be wanting to pull out hair out in frustration!

PLEASE identify the VERY nice Wharny just below the Gayle Bradley2, as it is calling to me,...I HAVE to pick one of those UP! Love the handy and compact size, shape, .....and of course the M4 blade! :)

Anyone else know please chime in......

.....I'm waiting and keep in mind, I probably won't be sleeping well until I know! ;)
The Wharny is a Gayle Bradley Air and unfortunately it is discontinued. The scales are aftermarket paper micarta scales. If you search "the Exchange" thy do pop up from time to time. Happy Hunting!
You don't happen to remember who made the scales on that one? I'm a sucker for ergos, and that rounded,...fuller feel looks yummy. The black is understated elegance too. The original scale choice was not what I would have done,... something like this would have been.

The Scales were made by Steve Ketchen (Sketchen Scales) I am not sure if he is still around but he used to do some really good work. You might want to check Bladeforums for him.

Ha! Thank you... Been on an end of summer blitz of camping and hiking, which makes for good pics, especially when you realize that you accidentally brought a **** ton of knives.

One does not accidentally bring a "**** ton" of knives, one just comes with a little extra preparation.

The Ulize was a very under rated knife.

Might have as much if not more edge to it than the Police4 if you measure along the curves.

Curved, bent shape works well on cutting boards too. Bit of a practical/tactical. ;)

I dare say I might like the Ulize better than the P4. I'm a big fan of practical/tactical :D
