Dog tag decision?

#1

Post by AH2525 »

I'm considering a dog tag and would love feedback on the differences and opinions of carbon fiber/g10 vs the titanium models. Appreciate any thoughts and input.

I own the carbon fiber and blue/green ti dogtag. I prefer the carbon fiber dogtag, I like the feel of the carbon fiber IMO it has softer edges than the Ti version. It just feels better in my hand/pocket. I am really looking forward to the new 4th generation dogtag to be released.

4th gen looks very cool, but I think it's a shame to lose the chisel grind. I've got a Squarehead and love the grind on that.

I prefer the carbon fiber. In my opinion it has a much nicer look and grip.

How bulky is it to wear, as compared to a real dog tag?

About the equivalent of wearing 3 standard dog tags. Not bulky at all. I'm maybe 170 #'s fully dressed and soaking wet and I don't even notice it.

I have the first Dog Tag variation (green anodized handle) and really like it. It's small, lightweight, thin, and yet still sturdy enough to tackle bigger projects. I'd like to get one in CF/G-10 laminate, but my tendency to procrastinate keeps getting in the way.

Thanks! Is that 3 with the silencers or 3 without?

Great choice :spyder:! Love the Dogtag folders in general. I have a few of the Ti model, but just haven't jumped for the G10 model yet. Eagerly awaiting the Dogtag Gen 4!
