Smoothing the edges of a Drone?

#1

Post by lunumbra »

I was at a seminar this weekend and managed to scrap open the knuckles of my training partner pretty good with my Drone. I've noticed before that the "blade" on my drone is cut nice and round but the edges are not rounded over much. By contrast, the "blade" on my CRMIPT is very rounded and smooth, it's very nice work. Is there a way that I can smooth and round the edges on my Drone?

Clamp the handle in a vise with some cardboard to protect the finish. Then use a strip of cloth backed emory on the edge much like a shoeshine buffs with a cloth.Progressivly finer grits of emory should give you a smooth finish. This method is better than using a grinding wheel as you have more control.

ever considered taping the dulled blade? most bali-song owners train that way with their "live" blades.. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
