I only have the Dragonfly, but it's nice stuff, would definitely pick up a few more knives in Super Blue.

Have every SB piece to date, dupes on a few, absolutely love the stuff and would grab anything offered. Someone had mentioned a Persian in the sprint thread I think, which sounded great to me, maybe with some nice micarta scales.
Happy to be part of this great forum and group of down to earth spyderco addicts, Thanks Sal and gang.

Hitachi Blue is a great steel for kitchen knives... as long as you're willing to deal with the rust issue.

I have a few hand forged Japanese kitchen knives in blue 2, I make sure to wipe and then promptly wash them when I'm done using them, still there are a few stains and pits that weren't there when the knives were new.

The blue paper santoku I've been using for years has a light patina but that's all good to me. All it takes is a quick rinse and wipe on a towel. In return you have a knife that's instantly sharp. I touch it up on the sharpmaker sticks from medium to ultra fine with very light pressure every 2 sessions or so and it's super sharp. Love carbon kitchen knives and if Spyderco makes a beautiful Super blue knife I'll be tempted. But bring on any folder in SB too coz I missed out..

Hopefully not, it had poor edge retention and a weak edge.

440c, 154cm, or D2 in the immediate future?

I really hate that I missed out on all these especially the Caly's. I really wish the 3 or 3.5 had stayed as standard production.

How about using Super Blue for the dark blue Draginfly sprint?
Spydergirl88 wrote:Wharncliffe Delica sounds good to me
Another great suggestion! Depending on scale color I'd likely go for this instead of the Delica Wharncliffe HAP40 sprint that's supposed to be in the works.

Dark blue (NOT BLURPLE) G10!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Sal, I recall you considering a G10 Delica run but haven't settled on a steel...

Super Blue would be an instant success ;) :D

I would only ask for 2 things if we got a standard production in Super Blue:

1) Make it solid, no laminates

2) pick a thin blade stock model that's FFG (Caly 3/3.5, Stretch, Kiwi 4, but I would make an exception on the FFG if you did a Centofante 3 or 4).

Blue G10 Super Blue Delica seems like an obvious answer, in the good way. :) Though there was something elegantly Japanese about the SB pairing with that great shade of light gray G10. Love the look of that Caly 3 that I missed out on.
