Pm2 chop w/ custom scales

#1

Post by DigDug72 »

Ryan Milligan of Knockwood Blades was kind enough to collaborate w/ me on this knife. I chopped down a PM2 into a mini w/ modified sheepsfoot blade profile, roughly the size of a Para3 but w/ a little less handle. Milligan made the canvas micarta scales, which fit to a tee, and really enhance the feel in hand.

Looks very comfortable, a lot of rounding and dig the scales.

That's really cool. How did you work the scales around the liners? I would do this but cutting into the factory liners and scales that car will look like crap along the edges.

Thanks Evil! Milligan worked some magic in that respect, and crafted the scales with a continuation of the 'bumper' that the original scales use to keep the liners in place and recessed from the edge.

Those are some great mods. I actually completely missed the fact the Mantra 2's clip was gone. It really looked like a factory job.

Hey, aren't you the guy who was posting pics of their Pilar on reddit? The internet really is a small place...
I had to do something similar to this to an Endura when my dad broke a half inch off the tip.
