That is what is so cool about this scale material! Very unique!Spydersense wrote:The other cool thing about these RN Chaps is that no two are exactly alike. Every one is unique.

My first one arrived today. Still warming up to the Raffir Noblel, but I did take the clip off, so it might get carried. IMHO, the scales look best in subudued light.

These are going to be highly variable apparently. I like one side, but not the other as much.

Of course a lot of natural materials are that way too. I've seen both beautiful and meh specimens of just about every type of wood that has enough character to be interesting. Only way around that is book matching, that way you either get two nice ones or two meh ones, but I suspect that's just not a feasible option in a production setting.WireEdge Roger wrote:These are going to be highly variable apparently. I just notice this, that with this scale design, you can actually see the internals, such as the stop-pin, etc. Pretty cool............
Re: New Model Dropped: Chaparral Raffir Noble
Will Spyderco be restocking this one or is it a limited run? I want to get hold of one of these but I need to wait until later in the year.
Re: New Model Dropped: Chaparral Raffir Noble
It's listed in the 2017 catalog as a regular production item.VeloWeave wrote:Will Spyderco be restocking this one or is it a limited run? I want to get hold of one of these but I need to wait until later in the year.
