Dragonfly 2 in Blue

#1

Post by IcemanUSA »

Hello everybody. I'm new to high quality knives and i got my first Spyderco last month, a Manix 2 lightweight translucent blue and i'm loving it!

I love blue knives and blue in general so i did some work on Photoshop to show what a Dragonfly 2 would look like with the same blue scales as the Delica 4! I would love this Sal!

I've been wanting one in this color for a while too. How about one in LC200N?

I have been harping on this for years. Sal said this was a likely occurrence but it has not yet materialized. I want one yesterday.

You could Rit dye an orange FRN model navy blue pretty easily, I would imagine. A yellow Salt would be even easier.

I've been carrying an orange DF all day. I wish it were blue.

I'll second the notion for lc200n in the dragonfly. Blue handles look cool but I'll take an lc200n dragonfly in any colour. It's the perfect knife for me as I live on a sailing catamaran and the corrosion resistance combined with the better edge retention in a fantastic all round package like the dragonfly would be a dream come true. In fact I'll take two!!!

I just wish they could expand the production lines on the DF (and all of the main-series FRN models) to include more combinations of steel and handle color. It would really, really neat if there were a way to custom-order from a few handle colors and a few steels. Blue handles, LC200N... Red handles, ZDP-189... etc.

While LC200N would be really nice, I would be happy with plain vanilla VG-10, as long as it was Delica blue.
