I gave it a few wacks with a hammer into some harder wood

With tge ffg matter separator blade I could have went through that whole board if I wished.

I took the n5 under my home this morning to do my yearly check up and a few little things

One of the first things I needed to do was cut about 10 feet of 5mil plastic sheeting I used to much of when I put my house in
This is one task the old native has a,hard time with but the 5 sliced through neatly without any snags like the older native always would

Image

The main thing I wanted to do was cut down all the extra zip ties I used that have always been in the way. I used some heavy duty ones id normally cut with a,snips but the 5 cut them right off. No need to go get the right tool.
Image

And a smoke break with some more cut tests.
All them ties and still melted its way through some thin cardboard. Again without a snag.

Image

Is there anything you all would like to see these two cut side by side I'd sure try do it.

Thanks
I'm going to wrap this one up soon. These are,not my knives ... I do got one more paper cutting test and maybe a few things

I do know now what native I prefer. Lol both. There two totally different knives. The n5 should have been named something else:)

PS

I did a side by side of the og and native 5 in plane edge.

If someone could find it and drop a link here I'd appreciate it .

Thanks again :spyder:

This was a fun test

I don't think Mr Thompson would approve of

Some side by side slice tests through the new cs catalog

We went with the 5 first. Image

What a slicer .she just melted through the paper all the way to page 59
Image

Next the og native

Image
I felt a little drag with this one .it made a dam good cut but not quite as good as the 5

She cut to 41
Image

The next test was 100% for me a stab test

The native 5 went into about 70 pages Image

While the og native went through the 107 page catalog
Image

Both awesome knives . the og is my favorite. :)

There about equal . one does a little better at one thing and one is better at the other.

Image

Still when I replace my native I'm replacing it with a og native :)
