Welcome to the forum danroyale, what you're seeing is Spyderco's CQI (constant quality improvements) its a stepped stop pin, it use to be screwed in, but not anymore. :)

Oh yea, no problem, I've had my 52100 and a couple others with the new CQI apart a few times. The stepping pin is way better than having it screwed together i think, can't over tighten anymore.

Curious to understand if that weight spec is correct, and if so to see where they shaved off the weight compared to my M4 G10/Ti version. It weighs around 145g / 5.1oz (actual weight measurement from Rycen on one of the old BF threads when the C36GTIP was launched back in 2010).

A lot less comments here than I would have expected given this dropped today. Any idea how well these are selling. I get worried when dealer exclusives move slow as it may deter future special models.
I think the cost has scared off many and it will be a slow seller. Then, a price drop to $239 most likely and it will sell again and be all the talk. Nothing was gonna keep me from getting it day one though at about any price. Instant mist have classic this will be the pride and joy of many a collection in years to come. IMO of course. But then I like big knives that carry small and nothing beats this knife for that.
Yea, lots of Ti frame locks with CF and S90v LE's out there in the $239.00 range...........................
We should get a list of them going here........... :D
