Radioshack PCB etchant solution is what you use to etch logos into a coated blade. I tie a string through the top clip hole, and submerge it into the solution for about 15-20 minutes. When you see a knife that's been "acid washed", it's been dipped into this etchant solution and then stonewashed.

I received mine and I am very pleased. These are very well put together. I was very surprised to notice that the overall width and weight are not that much different from my factory DLC Military. The F&F is excellent and lockup is at 40% and rock solid with no movement. The grinds are even and blade is centered. A big THANK YOU to Spyderco and KW for making this sprint run happen.

Curious between this or the jade M4 sprint which you guys like more? If, of course, anyone got both. Asking because since I am returning this knife I am struggling with asking for a replacement or just getting a refund and getting the Jade M4 and saving $100.

A lot less comments here than I would have expected given this dropped today. Any idea how well these are selling. I get worried when dealer exclusives move slow as it may deter future special models.

I just can't pay that much more for a heavier frame lock, and I even love Ti. I'm also not hurting for another Military and I'm still saving my pennies for some of the new models that haven't dropped yet.

I'm pretty excited for the FRN/S90V Manix and I'm a little meh about the Military.
