Exactly. I've been hoping someone at Blade Show would suggest how the current iteration is the same or different.
I guess what people are seeing this weekend is a prototype and thus can't be photographed.

It does not resemble the Shaman in proportions. Similar dimensions as the Native 5, only much longer. With eyes closed it would be hard to tell which it was if not for the length.
I'm gritting my teeth with a fistful of cash, ready to buy... C'mon Sal, this knife is 25 years past due.

NATIVE: Was never fond of the Native shape, seemed little stubby, never purchased one, but they have been growing on me. Living in Cali and the <3" the new offerings in M4 Jade definitely have me looking.
SHAMAN: Looked like a future buy for me, but I am holding out for M4 or Cruwear.
CHIEF: Extra 1/2 inch+ edge on the Chief tells me pass on the Shaman, and wait for a Chief in M4, Cru, Etc.
Time to go back through my collection again and see who is going to a new home.

I don't think I'll do it on foot. Where I'll have to conceal the thing I think even the shortest of walking trips will be unbearably painful.

The Chief looks awesome and I'd love to grab one, but Im assuming it will be released in the standard S30V and black g10 like usual and then a long painful wait for a sprint run to come along. Id like to see them go for the glory on the first run and do something befitting a large beast of a blade. 3V or 4V would be perfect. And maybe this is a good one to do that red g10 scale from the other thread. maybe a flash batch if they are worried about a full sprint run selling out, even though id bet it would...quickly.

Expressing interest in this model. Not thrilled about s30v but not complaining either. Liking the design even more than the Shaman.

Interesting photo- if it comes to be i doubt it will look anything like that though, it just dosnt fit with the aesthetic of the current native
