Wharncliffe Endura: Likely or not? Do you want?
Who here aside from me would absolutely enjoy a Wharncliffe Endura? The Wharncliffe Delica is out and seems popular. Who's up for the Endura version?
Re: Wharncliffe Endura: Likely or not? Do you want?
I'm not a huge fan of the endura but I think a wharnie would look nice. The wharncliffe delica looks very tall/stubby and I think on a longer blade it would look better.

I would buy a few if they're made with the endura 3 handle, especially if they used H1 blades :)
I love Wharncliffes and the Pacific Salt is already a popular EDC for me, wharncliffe version would really make it king of my pockets.
If they're made with the E4 handle I'd pass.

Go to Stay Safe Media's website, they carry Mike Janich Enduras when they are in stock. Mike mods them himself
Re: Wharncliffe Endura: Likely or not? Do you want?
I'd buy one.

Re: Wharncliffe Endura: Likely or not? Do you want?
I'd get one but have to get the Delica's first..
Would also like to see a Native or Manix lw with wharncliffe blade, something with a choil.

I'd be in for one. If there is a waved version, I'd be in for 7.
Re: Wharncliffe Endura: Likely or not? Do you want?
I'm really not sure on this one. Seems too long to be practical. Maybe I'll draw one so I can better visualize it.

OK, it's time to get serious again. Here's what it would look like...
... and beside a regular one for reference...
It might actually be a worthy blade after all.

Now that I see the jazz rendering I would be in for one. Doubly so in HAP40 or something else interesting.
Re: Wharncliffe Endura: Likely or not? Do you want?
I wouldn't mind a Wharncliffe Endura with a 14mm spydie hole at all..

Re: Wharncliffe Endura: Likely or not? Do you want?
i've yet to own an endura, the concept is interesting. since i've already given away my delica wharncliffe to a friend in need of one, i don't see why i wouldn't give it a go "to just see."
Re: Wharncliffe Endura: Likely or not? Do you want?
I like it (because wharnie) but I still think the Stretch would be waaaaay better as a wharnie. The only thing the Endura has over the Stretch is a tad more blade but it also comes with a mile more handle because of it. The Stretch is a better design overall and a more compact design when folded without giving up much blade length by comparison. I also think the blade would look kinda cool if it kept the traditional Stretch curvy spine, it would kinda be like a huge Kiwi.

first thing i thought of when i read that was a bm modified sheepsfoot griptillion, straighten that cutting edge a bit and...........I still think the Stretch would be waaaaay better as a wharnie......
i know, i know, blasphemy, lol. too much coffee this morning, the senior mind is a terrible thing to waste. :)

I think your picture provides a very accurate representation of what it would look like...and I would buy one. Nice, I wish I could draw like you.

Re: Wharncliffe Endura: Likely or not? Do you want?
Eh, the Endura just isn't as good a knife as the Delica. I'd rather see a redesign than another line extension. Don't get me wrong - I love the size and the features but it needs some ergonomic tweaking to reach the greatness of the Delica IMO. Also, unlike more sinuous blade shapes I don't think wharncliffes benefit as much from extra blade length.
I thought I recalled reading somewhere that the Endura was going to be tweaked with the idea to update the Pacific Salt line, as with the recent switch to delica-style handles on the Tasman Salt?

Re: Wharncliffe Endura: Likely or not? Do you want?
A Stretch with wharncliffe would be great but it doesn't seem to be as popular as some of the other production models so it might not be as much of a commercial success.. But it would definitely be a cool try and I would get it for sure! :)Evil D wrote:I like it (because wharnie) but I still think the Stretch would be waaaaay better as a wharnie. (or maybe just sprint all the FRN models with wharncliffes)
Re: Wharncliffe Endura: Likely or not? Do you want?
i personally would love a wharnie endura as the endura is my fave spydie platform for edc. i have a couple of delicas but keep passing them by because the endura is just so good.
