S110V UKPK ETA ?

#1

Post by elena86 »

I am so excited about this one.I purchased a CTS-BD1 UKPK a in 2016 and I'm amazed by its ergos but the steel is not quite my cup of tea.I suspect the S110V variant will very fast enter my daily rotation since it has all the atributes I like: great spydernomics and a bulletproof steel. So, do we have any idea of the ETA ?

Haha, I'm glad you asked so I didn't have to. :D

BBS had my hopes up when I saw they listed an eta of Feb. 2017, but then February passed and now it says "Scheduled for ____ 2017."

I guess it will get here when it gets here... I've nearly caved and bought the black one a few times b/c I want the newer ffg model with the stronger spring, but I've been trying to hold out for the dark blue.

I carry my S110V version quite a bit. It's the original proto. As mentioned it's simple, light, bulletproof and very effective. We'll be building 50 pcs / month beginning in April. We should have enough to begin shipping by the end of the year.

Well, at least the unanticipated Urban K390 helped slake that thirst. The announcement of the UKPK S110V stoked our enthusiasm early, but some late-to-be-announced knives seem to have cut in line for production. (PI ;-)

We can wait. Carry on.

kind regards,

Thanks very much for the update Sal.

That fixed it for me, ordered a black one from Cutlery Shoppe for now and threw in a pink Ladybug for the wife. :)

Phew! My Spyderbudget is pretty exhausted by recent and unmissable impulse buys (Pattada, N5 2013 Forum Knife).

****, my budget is already spent for this month... But I so want one.
2 k390 knives coming and a Mule should be sufficient for a month though.

What??

I've been hornswoggled!!!

Just kidding, this great news. :)

For good measure I also ordered a gray serrated drop point so I'll have all of the old frn scale colors. Knifeworks still has a bunch of the old serrated and combo-edge drop points in stock.
