Para 3

Postby toomzz » Sat Feb 18, 2017 12:06 pm

Thank you Spyderco for making the Para 3 happen. It dropped in my mailbox today. Nice and compact as the PM's and my millies. I will wear it proudly coming sunday in Amsterdam! Looking forward to a version in S90V..... ;)

toomzz, I think you may have posted this in the wrong place. Are you concerned that your Para 3 is a counterfeit?
Time for another :spyder:!

How does it compare to a Delica and Native in handle size?

Not the comparison you asked for, but it is significantly bigger than the Caly3 though they share many of the same specs.

Should really try to figure out how to post pics here. made a collection of comparison pics with my Para 3 which will also be accompanying me at the Spydiemeet like it has been doing almost every day since I got it.
Will also try to post those pics on the new Spydie fb page sometime soon.

The Para3 has become my favorite EDC.

I got my Para3 in, and man, I have to say WOW! The difference from my PM2 is perfection. Other than the size difference, which is excellent (by the way), there are a few subtle improvements that just exude quality and fine craftsmanship. For example, the additional rounding of the G-10 edges, and the "Golden..." and "Spyderco..." marks being curved around the pivot point. This has become my go to, which means the blurple PM2 just got boxed! Oh, and I swapped the spydie clip for a Lynch NW deep carry. Now it rides low in the pocket which helps keep it hidden better, as is needed while here in Germany!
Dragonfly G-10, Blurple PM2, Para3, Jani-Song, Dragonfly2 ZDP-189, Lil' Native, Chaparral LW, Delica WC HAP40, Para3 M4, UKPK red G10, Para3 LW, Para3 LW M390

Actually, that helps a lot. That would have been my next question. Thanks!

Have just posted my comparison pics on fb's new Spyderco page, including pics of Para-Native & Para-Calypso in case you're also active there.
(pics are blade facing blade so it's easier to see how the handles relate)
