Let me reformulate: what Spyderco folder would you take to serve you well in almost any given situation in a trip around the world (jurisdictions aside) ?

Possibly my hap40 Stretch. I love the pm2 design but more often than not the Stretch beats it out for pocket time. Thinner blade, better slicer, I like back locks.

The list of Spyderco folders that DON'T meet your criteria is much shorter. In fact, I can't think of any.

I'm confident I could successfully travel around the world with only a Dragonfly in my pocket.

Legalities aside, I'd take what I carry nearly every day - a Stretch. The difficult part would be deciding which one. :p

Military, Stretch or Para2 for me. If I was gonna be busy traveling the world I would probably pick something stainless.

This. My second Spyderco and EDC for seven years, I never encountered a situation where I needed a bigger knife (though there was occasionally times where something bigger would have been more convenient).

I agree with this. I'd be torn between too many knives to list.

Honestly? If I were travelling around the world I'd be carrying a Swiss Army Knife, probably a Farmer. Something that can handle most ordinary tasks that I wouldn't miss and could easily replace if it were lost, stolen or confiscated. My Spyderchoice would doubtless be my C44 Dyad.

Dragonfly2 would be my first choice, although the Delica and Manbug would be excellent choices too.

I vote for the SE Pacific Salt. This knife surprised the heck out of me. This guy is tough with no maintenance required.

I'd say something in the 3-inch range: Delica, Native, Para 3, Sage 1-5, Caly 3, Efficient (probably; it may be too early to tell, but it looks good so far). That's an ideal middle-ground size, and you have plenty of options. Larger: Para Military 2. Smaller: Chaparral or Dragonfly 2.

The world can be a dangerous place.
I would probably bring a pm2.
Although a yojimbo would probably be the better.

Now, it you have to get it into many different places, then maybe a pits.

Pm2. Personally I carry the Techno more but the Pm2 is the better all-rounder imho.
