MILITARY TI

#1

Post by RobDigi »

Hi I love my Para-Militay own several Spydercos its still my favorite.
Besides the great compression lock I love its fairly large size at 3.5

So I'm considering a Millie Ti
I think I would like the even larger size of the Millie and I like Ti... so weight is not an issue.

But...
I'm just getting the impression that it doesn't fly open as smooth as a
PM2 does because of the compression lock set up.
And I know that my other frame locks are not as smooth as PM2

Anybody who owns a Millie Ti can you describe the tension flicking it open ?

Thx
Rob

Both my fluted and solid Ti Military's fly open with authority, the fluted is probably one of my smoothest pieces. I think a lot of it has to do with the size of the blade, at almost 4", there's quit a bit of mass there.
Happy to be part of this great forum and group of down to earth spyderco addicts, Thanks Sal and gang.

My Ti-fluted Millie opens smooth like butter, although you have to push it through the detent. That detent is perfectly fine, it is the insurance it won't bite me in the pocket. With giving it force to overcome this detent it swings out like lightning.

My Ti fluted Millie is slick as anything I have tried...
Solid lock-up, and solid feel in my hands...
