Not getting a K2 at $140. What's your biggest regret of the this past year when it comes to spyderco? What's the one that got away?

Not getting a second M4 Para2 in CF from Knifeworks. I spent the money on the Jade M4 from BladeHQ instead for variety's sake. The CF is now my main EDC Para2 and learned that the Jade G10 is the least attractive of the bunch imo.

First world problems I tells ya.

I still really need to pick up a Nilakka before they dry up. I bought two of the K2s. Maybe I should sell one and pick up a Nilakka? Hmmm...

Of yeah, I passed on the BOGO on the blue K04 for some odd reason. I should have bought like 10 of them for gifts for everybody.

Where did they have it? I am looking to replace a similarly sized Victorinox kitchen knife, would have jumped on it.

Same here. The wait for the M4 CF version seemed like forever and when I finally got one it didn't disappoint. I carry it all the time but I'm afraid of losing it. I sold the Jade version figuring that the Cruwear was a suitable backup. I still have 4 PM2s, not sure what I'm actually worried about. But the peel ply CF that they used on the PM2 and 52100 Millie is just perfect for my tastes.

Speaking of which, I also passed up the chance to buy a CF S90v Manix2 on the exchange for a great price. No idea why. Not sure I like the new smooth CF on the Cruwear version and really wish it had the peel ply scales on it.

Biggest?...the first that comes to mind is the terrible CF M4 PM2 that I received from knifeworks. Really bad carbon fiber on it. I sold it, didn't lose too much money but I wish it didn't go down like that. Oh well.

On the bright side I got a factory second that is almost perfect for $85 a few months later.

I had deeply regretted missing the CF M4 Pm2 as well, and was also fortunate enough to find one at the seconds sale too!

Though, my biggest regret was definitely not getting a HAP40 Dragonfly.

M4 performance has since been a revelation for me and the CF is so darn attractive, I can't keep it out of my pocket. I had a S90v CF but I spent $400 on it, couldn't get myself to use it and never fully appreciated it sitting in its box and just passed it along. Since its an exclusive, I'd get a second if KW so decides to do a second run.

I got two of the Cruwears, I gotta rotate it in.. A fine backup indeed. Enjoy them in good health!

Regret? My avoidance of all the HAP40 sprints, even as rave reviews were pouring in, simply because I'm not fond of cladded steel (the badly uneven grind lines on my SB Stretch still tick me off).

But I'll get this year's Meerkat (or maybe a Manbug) so I can sample the steel and, if it wows me, try the secondary market for a missed sprint or two.

Me too. Hopefully I'll score an upcoming HAP40 Caly3 though and fill that HAP40 need.

YES! Letting these slip by without getting one was a bad move, I even had the opportunity but waited too long. I keep looking for one too.

I really have no Spydie regrets. Yes, I kind of wish I would've bought a HAP40 Delica when they dropped but I'm really happy with my VG10 Delicas. I also managed to buy 3 other HAP40 models so I'm good.

You guys are making me feel a bit guilty now for owning three Hap40 Delicas :)

None here!

Though I didn't get many at all last year, I didn't miss any that I really wanted. I almost missed the HAP40 Dragonfly, but I managed to find one at a good dealer. The closest thing I have to a regret is not getting a 204P Military due to money, but not only can I still get one if I want, I love my Cruwear so much that I don't feel a strong need for another.

Not winning the lottery before the seconds sale. So really, no regrets.

That reminds me...didn't think I had any regrets, but I HATED having a business trip to Denver...about 3 weeks before the seconds sale! Ugh. I would have stayed the weekend for that in a heartbeat.

Well ...my only regret is I'm still a little out of control...67 knives for 2016....don't regret any in particular, just the total.
Did not miss one that I wanted though.
