Blade swap question

#1

Post by Half Sack »

Hello All! Long time no posting I hope everyone is well.

Quick question, well 2.

Assuming the model is the exact same model (all delica 4, PM2s etc no mix match models), what parts need to move over during a blade swap?
As best as I can tell it should be the blade and in most/all the lock bar. Is that it? The other internals etc can stay with the scales?

Specific I want to swap 2 endura 4s, but I'll want to try more later for sure.

2nd, isn't now when the disco list comes up or have I not searched enough yet?

Thanks in advance, if I do a swap you'll know. Happy New Year!

In my experience , and I've blade swapped and scale swapped a lot of my Delicas , I've found what gives best results is to swap Blade and Lockbar and the screw fittings for both the lock bar and Blade pivot .
The other screws and liners etc don't seem to have much impact on success .

Good luck .

The discontinued list actually came out a month or more ago. A search should find it easily.

I would keep blades with their matching lock bar/liner/etc.

I didn't think of the screws for the lock and pivot.

I'll search for the disco list, I did try a quick search but it was while posting about the swaps.

I'm thinking about picking up 2 Enduras and doing a 'three-way' two won't be as cool.
Hate to wreck the site with silly questions.

Happy New Year's from 8pm Alberta

Safest way is to do a scales swap (scales and backspacer in the case of FRN models unless your looking for a two-tone effect) rather than a blade swap.

+1 on the "scale swap" always keep all the same moving parts together such as blades and locks pivots etc etc., at least that's what I've done and never had any issues. I've done swaps on delicas, enduras, pac salts and d'flys with great success, Good luck :)
