The VG-10 FRN Stretch 2, the new Bread Knife, and the RN Chaparral are about it for me, and they're closer to desperate attempts to find something of interest than things that I'm eagerly anticipating.

Definitely going to buy:
Caly3 HAP40
Meerkat HAP40
Sage 5 OR Para 3: I have a Sage 5 reserved, but I'm going to wait until the Para 3 is out to pull the trigger. They're the same size and steel, so I want to see which one I like better in the hand. I'm leaning towards the Sage 5 for the thinner blade stock and the matte CF laminate handles, but I'm going to do
my due diligence. Then, later in 2017, I'll likely end up with the other one too. :p
Efficient: value folder + choil, at a very good price, and with a leafier blade. What's not to like? This one is very likely just because it's not expensive.

Strongly considering:
Manix: I was going to get a PM2 in Maxamet, but now I have a Cru-Wear PM2 waiting for me, so I think I grab my first Manix in this steel.
Rhino/Polestar: I need to see these in person, but they're very interesting.
Ouroboros: the question is, do I want to buy this and then replace the washers?

Wish I could afford:
Magnitude
Spydiechef
Advocate

Might consider once I see them:
Q-ball
D'allara
Opus
Chaparral Rafir Noble
Patrick LaFollette
Current: Dragonfly 2 ZDP-189, Chaparral 1, Techno 1, Delica 4 HAP-40, Dragonfly 2 HAP-40, Mantra 1, Ladybug Salt Hawkbill, Nirvana CPM, Endura 4 HAP-40, Sage 4, Para Military 2 CPM Cru-Wear, Sage 5, Caly3 HAP40, Sliverax, Lil' Nilakka, Chaparral Raffir Noble, Zulu, Manbug HAP40, Meerkat HAP40, Sage 1/Sage 2/Sage 3 CF, Introvert, Techno 2

I saw the 4.1 oz weight in the catalog and figured it has to be a mistake. I checked the 2008 catalog and the original/black G10 Caly 3 was listed at 3.0 oz. I find it hard to believe that the Caly HAP40 gained over an ounce in weight. In the current catalog the Native 5 G10 is listed at 3.7 oz and the Manix 2 S110V G10 is listed at 4.2 oz. There's no way that little Caly weighs more than than Native and almost as much as that Manix.
I confirmed it with Spyderco. That is not a mistake. The Caly3 has gotten overweight. :(

That saves me stress and money. I don't need a heavy 3" knife.

I still think there's no way that Caly 3 will weigh anywhere near 4.1 oz. Guess I'll find out...

Wow, a lot to consider here!
The return of so many designs!

A lot to be happy for!
But I'm actually starting to get a little overwhelmed, almost smothered, by the barrage of new models and designs coming out! Not complaining, but man, I just simply can't keep up.

Caly 3 makes me incredibly happy to see!
That weight has to be incorrect, though.

Police 4 is bigger than what I often carry, but I like what I see.

Lil Jess Horn looks neat, as well as Lil Nilakka. Will probably aim for both of those, as well as the Delica Wharncliffe.
Also the Efficient looks like a smooth, clean design.

Many I'd like to hold onto and operate, but not sure I'd purchase yet.
Lil Temp and D'allara. D'allara looks great in that rear 3/4 shot with the sunglasses. Lil Temp looks like it will hurt pockets, but I like it.
Chinook with the cam actuated PowerLock...
Stretch 2 now in FRN. Will I really like it any more than the regular Stretch? Still skeptical.

Maybe an ATR.
...and Meerkat is a maybe, but with HAP40 it may convince me to finally try the design.

Good to see return of Lefty Military, for the sake of a few of my southpaw friends.

Advocate looks great, very promising, but can't afford it yet.
(Still want to get some others that are like old news now, like the SpydieChef, Pattada, and Maxamet M2!)

Opus doesn't really grab me, but I'm sure will work great for some. Kind of reminds me of a Scorpius.

Still can't believe the price value on the Rhino!

Oh yeah, and the Chefs knife! Really enjoy the Cooks knife, will have to get the larger Chef as well.

Believe it or not... probably won't go for a Para3. Might wait for a Sprint there.
Going back to Caly.

I totally agree with the poster above who commented that this is the most exciting catalog in a while. Maybe because I go way back with Spyderco and am happy to see the new incarnations of some classic older models, such as the Meerkat and the Li'il Temp. I already have enough original Caly 3s or I'd be all over that one. I'm very interested in the Para 3, which seems to incorporate all the Para 2 improvements into the Para 1 size, which I prefer. And then there's the Baby Jess Horn! I can't wait for this one as I somehow lost my original out of my pocket somewhere and have mourned it ever since. Count me in for two! Anyone know when the Baby Jess Horn will be available?

ATR 2, D'Allara are my top 2. The Maxamet Manix 2 LW is quite tempting as well. I might pick up a Spydie edge PM2 as well, we'll see.
