PATRIARCH....what if.
PATRIARCH....what if.
So if Spyderco was to have a model called the Patriarch, what do you think it would be like?

I would say that the Civilian is sort of the patriarch?
Maybe a fixed blade Civilian?

The Patriarch would be a Tatanka sized, very scaled up version of the Matriarch.
It would have some aggressive jimping.
It would probably be g10 slabs...I'd personally prefer FRN but considering the cost of new molds and the limited appeal of the knife, it'd probably never happen.
It would not have liners in interest of keeping weight down. Or, if it HAD to have liners they'd be partial and nested...also in the interest of carryablility and concealment.
The blade steel could be upgraded, but vg10 is very serviceable for most ELU's. Some Veff serrations maybe could be incorporated on the edge.
The g10 would be gray, like elephant hide.
All in all, The Patriarch would be one mean mofo!

Exactly, and the bare aluminum version with Kraton inlays would be THE Patriarch.bearfacedkiller wrote:I would say that the Civilian is sort of the patriarch?

How about a g-10 emerson opener Civilian with skeletonized nested liners, a compression lock, and dare I dream... a flipper. Now that would be the Daddy of them all.
