Exclusive Pink Para 2!

#1

Post by Liquid Cobra »

Seems there are a few early collector club pink Para 2's popping up on the bay! In classic Spyderco fashion they will be donating part of the sale of each knife to help fight cancer. In this case it's to aid the guardians of the ribbon. Very cool indeed. Get out your wallet folks.

Hmmm... Is it an exclusive or regular production like the pink Native? I would guess regular production but who knows...

They certainly snuck that one in under the radar!

That is pretty cool. Might have to pick one up as no one would steal a mans pink knife nor would I loose it in the abyss of cardboard that I deal with everyday at work.

I can't seem to find any on the bay this morning for more pictures. Maybe they sold out since last night? Anyone have the Spyderco product code?

I agree...good cause...but who do they think will USE it?

My wife carries a stainless Balance and she's mindful about who she's around when she deploys it...it still doesn't stop her...but her lady friends think it is a HUUUUGE blade...

now imagine she Spydie drops a pink PM2 out of her purse...they'd faint  :p

as for a guy totin a pink PM2...well if you're packin a Pink PM2-- you're a better man than me, Charlie Brown ;)

I was wondering if it was an exclusive run for a particular vendor. I have no issues carrying a pink knife.

I'm guessing but judging by Spyderco's system it would be the C81GPNP2.

I have no problem carrying a pink knife either. Actually I would look forward to it. Something different than the black and blue and browns. Kinda wish it was a little darker pink though.

I like how this one rolls off the tongue. The "pink pm2". Haha

This one could be a good candidate to make red using rit dye. I know a lot of people have been asking for a red PM2 for a while. This could be the next best thing.

What steel is this in? Even though I have most of the versions I probably won't get this one if it's a steel I already have it in.

In general red is reserved for training knives.

S30V
That's disappointing. I find just changing the scale color a bit of a let down iro an exclusive. I think it would have drawn a lot more interest for a good cause if a different steel was also used.

Spyderco has done quite a few models in pink so far and I don't think that any of them have featured an upgraded steel. S30V is fine with me. Since it is for a good cause you probably want to keep the cost down so that it is more accessible. My wife carries a pink Native5 and I can tell you that she doesn't care that it isn't an upgraded steel.

There is a very good chance that I will pick this knife up
