My logic is that the guess could be over or under, so 1 is only like 384 numbers away if you count down to 0 and then start counting down from 1000 to 617. Think of it like the numbers 0 to 1000 like are on a wheel and whatever is 500 numbers away would be the furthest away counting up or down.

Just a follow up...funny story.....Snoofer, who won the contest this year, pointed out to me that he was 2nd or 3rd last year ( I didn't remember) and won a N5...how weird is that...must have some kind of telepathy......anyway he went with the KC M2 brown exclusive....Paladin snagged the Caly3.5 , and I am Travvy will get the Kiwi....thanks again to all who played.
