Ouroboros Pass-Around

#1

Post by paulwa »

Howdy everyone, I recently received a batch of Ourobori from the Spyderco mothership, and I’ve decided to pull one to start a pass around among Spyderco Forumites. If you haven’t done one of these before, it’s pretty simple, you’ll get the knife mailed to you from the previous examiner, you’ll have it for about a week or less if you come to an early conclusion, and then you mail it on to the next interested person. I’m hoping this will give people that are on the fence about the design, others that don’t have a local cutlery shop where they can get a first impression, or folks that don’t have the disposable cash to buy one until they know it can suit their needs, can have a chance to get to know the knife.

So, please post here if you are interested in giving this pass-around Ouroboros a spin. Then, PM me and we’ll work out some way of getting your shipping details. Once we kick it off, I’ll send the knife out to the first person on the list and share the shipping details for the next one in line. That person will be responsible for arranging and paying for USPS Priority shipping to next person on the list, and so on till the list is exhausted. You must share the USPS tracking number with at least me once it is shipped. People will be on their honor for this, and hopefully the knife will make it out to a number of folks to experience.

Must be 18 or over, have a forum account, and live in the continental US to participate. You are responsible for making sure you possess, use, and/or carry it in compliance with your local laws. By signing up on this list, you are agreeing to everything laid out above.

And if you wouldn’t mind, I’d really be interested in getting the feedback from people that participate in the pass around. You can use this thread to supply that feedback, and get in on the Ouroboros keychain give-away, too:

Thanks for your interest,

Add me to the list. I would really love to participate. This is one that really appeals to me but I know need it in hand before I purchase and in Washington around me the only places to see spyderco is cabelas and if history is any indication I will never see one in person.

Same here. I would really like to handle this knife. When it was first revealed I was super excited, but then others dropped... you know how it goes. Still plan on trying this out eventually.

Great idea! Postage would be silly for any European contributors, but I look forward to reading all your comments.

Very kind of you sir! I'd like to participate but dealing with the border would be too much of pain. Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts.

I'd like to get in on the pass around but would it be okay if I use FedEx for shipping to the next person?
