Police in k390? I'm not complaining, but it seems like a weird use of that steel.

having said that, the Police 4 ergonomics look much better than the police 3.

well, that was interesting. The Polestar is actually the one I'm looking forward to the most, a shame bd1 is only offered in Chinese knives though.

Our very own forum member Jazz suggested this model in a thread called "Its time to get serious".
Pretty cool that he has an idea and Sal made it happen!

Thank you but it's all about Spyderco's tremendous number of models with lots of variety and at various price points. They've released nearly 50 models from December 1, 2015 to November 18, 2016. They also have 50 announced in the pipeline.

Jazz, congrats on your idea making its way to the production catalog, anytime you show off that Wharncliffe you have a very cool story to tell.

As someone mentioned previously, it is a very busy schedule for Seki. Sooo many new and revamped Japanese models, it's freaking awesome. Do you guys think the Caly3 will be made in Moki? I can't wait to buy two of those, the green is awesome.

EDIT: Preorders are up at KC!

I've been pouring over their preorder page and trying to decide whether to preorder the Lil' Nilakka and others or wait.
It's interesting that Spyderco is producing a limited run of a new model (Lil' Nilakka) for the first time. It appears that they're anticipating that this would not be a hugely popular model. By doing a limited run they reduce their chance of excess inventory and potentially create more demand simply because of the limited nature.
I guess we'll see them do more of that in the future. Models like the Vrango and Myrtle seem like they could have been done this way although I'm just speculating.

Lil’ Nilakka will be a Flash Batch -- "a one-time exclusive production run that will be numbered in its entirety."
"A Flash Batch is similar to a Sprint Run, but features a brand new design that has not been previously produced. Flash Batches are also unique, one-time-only expressions of a particular model, but are likely to be even more rare and collectible than Sprint Runs. Spyderco is proud to offer these exclusive, limited-edition production runs to celebrate the diversity of our designs and stimulate even greater collector interest in our knives. Each Flash Batch knife will be individually numbered for the entire run."
