Really enjoying my S45VN Paramilitary 2 so far! Also have my Zebralight H53c with me most days, but it lives in my backpack unless I need to use it. Usually it stays attached to the headband, but I removed it for the photo.

Test driving two new models today. This is my first edc flashlight, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but just from playing with it outside last night I'm super impressed. Plenty bright enough for a night walk on high, and just with a AAA battery.

Nice! That was my first EDC flashlight also. It's pretty darn handy, I think I used it more than my knife during winter. I'm thinking of upgrading one of their rechargeable models.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

I also ordered a usb rechargeable microstream to see which I liked best. It's stuck somewhere in the bowels of usps, so I'll have to wait and see.

:D thanks! The TIP is a great flashlight, it's ultra pocket sized, 300 lumen, and usb rechargeable. I've got the CRI bulb version, 260 lumen, but realistic daylight color instead of the cool white most LEDs have. I wouldn't use it to go on a hike or a long walk in the dark, but for EDC use i.e. needing a short burst of bright light to look at something for a minute, I dont often find myself needing a bigger flashlight or one with a longer battery life.
