This or either the composite sprint that is coming out in the future will be my next spydie I think.

That would be cool but even more pricey.

The thought of a possible Maxamet second even crossed my mind (though I can't go to the sale), but I guess, even if there were any, they wouldn't sell them alongside the "firsts," or certainly not before the 1st was even released?

Does anybody know if the gray FRCP will be about like that of the Super Blue FRN series, or perhaps darker? Would like some pics ASAP. The GPKnives pic looks considerably darker, which I like, but I think it may not be an actual photo. I had to cancel my KC pre-order but hope to get one later.

Check out the new product guide, page 30, looks like it will be a little darker than the SB's :)

I just got back from the sale with 2 Maxamet Manix 2s, 1 for myself and 1 for Darby (bearfacedkiller).

It's a nice shade of gray, and other than that, I'll have to wait to use it before offering feedback.

By the way, mine arrived yesterday and the clip hardware looks like every other FRN Manix that I've seen.

The blade on mine appears to be stonewashed.

They were for sale in the display case before the sale, probably in transit to the dealers at that time. I was able to snag a second that I can't find a thing wrong with, even after a few days of use. Cutting up old dirty carpet to remove it from an apartment barely required a touchup afterward. I'm really liking this steel, and I like the lightweight Manix platform as well.

Just curious.Do you like the Manix blade shape(leaf) more than the Para2 blade shape ?

Not really. I like the blade shape of the Para2, it's the compression lock that annoys me.

The online retailer that I typically buy from has not received any yet either.
