So we simplified the whole thing, we rounded them all down, drop the remainder into an account we opened. It's very complicated. It's uh it's aggregate, so I'm talking about fractions of a mm here. And over time they add up to a lot. It's pretty ingenious. A bunch of hackers tried it in the 70s, but they got caught. Oh, and they did it in Superman 3.
I agree wholeheartedly!
If I made 4" blades and hired someone to finish grind them and he could hold a 1.5mm tolerance, I'd call it good and walk away happy. :)

Catalog spec. = 87mm (though I'm not certain of the measurement points, so that might be an orange to my apple)
Measured with the depth runner of my digital caliper bearing on the handle scale right at the center clip screw hole. I also measured from the back edge of the pivot screw head to the tip and came up with different overall length, but the same approximately 0.5mm shorter measurement for the S35VN knife, I find that pretty impressive, since it means that the handle scales are also ground to within fractions of a millimeter of spec!
