What I do feel more strongly about is one bit of CQI that can be brought to tge Yo2, the new stepped stop pin seen on the Military, and PM3.

I would welcome that as well, but I have to say my two S90V/CF Yo's have the best action of any compression lock I've owned. At the time they were definitely the best version of that lock. Neither of mine stick or anything unusual like that and both blades swing like a pendulum. Really they are both pretty much flawless all around. I really get the feeling Spyderco have nailed down producing that lock design.

Agreed, I've had similar experience with my Yo2. Came out of the box perfect. There isn't anything wrong with the current stop pin, necessarily. But in one of the SHOT Show videos with Michael Janich, he mentions that the stepped pin is significantly stronger than the screw-together version.

I also imagine just dropping in a stop pin while assembling the knife would be easier than fine tuning screws.

Like I said, I'd be happy with any excuse to buy another Yojimbo.

Cruwear with denim colored G10 and CQI stop pin. I would buy 2 immediately!

The S90V version was a super nice piece.
As for another, I would agree with Dan and others about Cruwear or even CPM - 3V. Talk about tip strength.

Yep, they're just a floating pin sandwiched between the liners/scales, not a rivet.
Ok, that actually makes sense, take the pressure off of the pivot area. Got the idea now, thanks :) Good idea.

I wonder if we'll see a maxamet yojimbo 2 after Eric's comments about maxamet being brought to various Golden made Spyderco knives?

Well unless I missed something, we're still waiting for a S110V version, so it seems kind of unlikely.

I don't know how far they are into the planning or production stages of that, but would you be upset if they did Maxamet first instead of s110v? I'd get one of each either way but I'm eager to try out the maxamet. ;) They should do a sprint of that while people are as exited as much for the steel as they are for the knife.

I haven't really read up on Maximet just yet, I know it's super hard and has tons of carbon in it, which makes me feel like it's similar in performance to S110V, so I would probably buy the Cruwear version first just for variety sake.

:D I think the only reason the Yojimbo isn't one of Spyderco's top sellers is most people have never used one. Wish I had an extra one I could mail to forum members to test out, if people tried it, they'd love it.

3V seems to be a popular suggestion not familiar with it myself. If it has good tip strength and edge retention I'm all for it.

Un-scientificly without actually looking by my count so far the most often and popular suggested combos for the Yojimbo 2 Sprint are:

1. S110V, Blurple g-10
2. Maxamet, grey G10
3. a redo of S90V, Carbon fiber
4. Cruwear, Denim Micarta
5. 3V, grey micarta
6. CPM M4, Carbon fiber

I'd be happy with ANY combo of these.

Cruware with any micarta would be fantastic. 4V would be a great option as well. Better wear resistance with nearly the same toughness as 3V.
