Well, hopefully Spyderco won't sue you for using the name Pheonix.

Wasn't the OP trolling recently on another popular forum? If I'm wrong forgive me but the username looks familiar.

Ah, bringing back memories from the other forum. As I recall he's a middle-aged man who acts like a child.

White Wolf Knife is already taken as a company name. I'm not sure if you can use it legally, but I'm no lawyer.

"Freedom" knives have already been made by the US Mint (http://www.americanmint.com/freedom-poc ... 01-02.html), Colt has a "Freedom" lineup (Bowie, trapper, and hawkbill), as does Case. That doesn't even include the "____ Freedom" (Iraqi Freedom, American Freedom, etc.) name variations used by other companies. Seems to be a bunch of "Freedom" titled knives already.

And, as mentioned above, the Phoenix has already been made by Spyderco (designed by Howard Viele) as well as United Cutlery (based on the Star Trek Klingon D’k Tahg, designed by Gil Hibben). So those names are already in use as well.

I keep thinking this is a new thread I have missed because the name keeps changing.
I Pray Heaven to Bestow The Best of Blessing on THIS HOUSE, and on ALL that shall hereafter Inhabit it. May none but Honest and Wise Men ever rule under This Roof! (John Adams regarding the White House)

Live pure, speak true, right wrong, follow the King--
Else, wherefore born?" (Tennyson)

One thing hasn't changed though, the Spyder King's class is as evident as ever.

Phoenix is not in use by Spyderco at the current time (disco'd) and Freedom as a word can't be copyrighted by any company.
