Wow, just finished reading all of this thread. Amazing stuff! Especially getting first a prototype and then a personalized production pair.
Now i too think the "VaJAZZle" Delica should be forum knife 2017!

I'm normally a blade with some belly guy, but as I've said, for work, actual cutting and gettin' 'er done, this blade/handle combo is so nice. Nice EDC too, if you don't cut on a cutting board lots, but even then, my wife uses a sheepsfoot paring knife on a cutting board that puts me to shame, and I cook for a living. It's what you're used to. It has the perfect blade shape point wise - not weak, and penetrates easily, nice FFG for slicing, excellently comfortable Delica handle, and I think it looks cool too.

Honestly, the look of it is what's drawing me to it the most, along with the story of its existence. And I like that its clearly a tool designed for work and won't be prone to the fear of scratchitis.

As soon as I get mine, it's off to work and will cut a lot of cardboard first thing. It will get scratched, though nowhere near like the H1 I used to use.

Just saw some collectors club versions (PE & SE). It's dropping!

I will be checking GP Knives hourly. I live 30 minutes away and prefer to buy local. This is very exciting. I have already recieved my casey lynch long deep carry clip. This bad boy is going to get a 30 day exclusive in my pocket. I will also be buying two as gifts.

Now that both of you mentioned it, yeah, I can relate :cool: though the knife related content makes New Graham more likely to be correct :D

As I was sitting and having a think, I realized the Byrd Meadowlark Rescue that araneae modded and gave me was the original prototype for this knife. Using it helped me feel what worked best, and got me to start this thread. So, thanks again araneae, and here's a pic of the progression...
