The thing I like about the place I live is, that I live in one of the smallest countries in Europe, and in my town you can find the only one harbour of Luxembourg

The best thing about here is the people.

Most places you go, they don't care about anything but money. Here they are more down to earth.

Thanks for the contest Yog. I've looked at the viele many a time.

What a great topic (& contest!) I live on Ft. Belvoir, an Army post in N. VA, close to Washington, DC, I always think about the sacrifices my friends & neighbors make to defend our country. I feel safe here & it's beautiful to walk near the Potomac river, I've been fortunate enough to live in lots of great places, we are so lucky to live in such a great country (hey, I love Canada, too & haven't been able to travel much outside the U.S.A)....Linda

Thanks for running the competition.

What I like about where I live?

"Sun, sand, sea and real ale pubs within walking distance of my home!"

Sorry about the multiple posts but when I tried to post a reply last night the thread never would show that mine had been added to it. Therefore I tried three times and gave up. I only just now realized that they did in fact go through. Again, my apologies.

yog,

You are most generous...I love the fact that my own hometown here has a Spyderco dealer who has in stock virtually every Spyderco model, past and present. No kidding.

Without a doubt it's the nature of the people. Everyone round here knows everything about anything thats happening. I must have the most informed, nosiest neighbours on this planet, in fact theres a wee woman two doors up in her eighties that can't walk the length of herself yet somehow she can tell you what somebody four streets away had for their breakfast. Welcome to Belfast, stop by sometime, you'll love it.
